The phone rang at about 11:10 am. The sweet lady from CCAI said that we had a daughter who was 11 months old. After we asked several questions about her health, development, diet, current residence, disposition, abandonment, etc. She asked us if we were ready to see her. With absolute breathlessness, hands shaking, and hearts pounding, we clicked over to our e-mail account...........and after literally 32 months of waiting........there she was...the most beautiful, somber, wide-eyed little girl that we had ever seen.
In fact, the Chinese authorities were just used by our Heavenly Father who chose the PERFECT daughter for us. Isn't that funny? They think they are in charge! ...their hands were just guided to place her file with ours...
The day was made even more special because we were surrounded by about 20 plus people. Our family and friends took off work and school and surrounded us as we sat by the phone. They brought balloons and snacks and turned the day into a fun celebration.
The next day, we had a package from our agency with a few more pictures.

To say that the last year of our life has been wonderful, really doesn't even begin to tell the tale. Our Mia Grace is a very happy, loving, head-strong little girl. She brings simple joys to every single day. She loves her family and friends. She loves music, food, and Elmo!!
For those of you who are waiting for your baby, it IS WORTH IT!
We love you all......... and thank God for friends like you who have supported our adoption and who love our little girl!
Happy Referral Day, Miss Mia Grace!!!

Hey there! Another case of being hooked up by God! That all just seems like yesterday to me. But I know she is your pride and joy! I am even experiencing a little of that with the twins. Miss you all and Love to you all. LJ

Thank you for sharing your referral anniversary with us. I often think about what that day will be like...who I want to share it with... how I will feel... We hae been waiting for so, so long -- 34 months. It seems like an eternity.
